Mixed with both whimsy and function, Lora Nava’s clay works are inspired by nature and spirituality.
After moving to Trinidad from San Francisco, Nava joined the Corazon Gallery where she has been a member of the co-op for over 20 years.
She has studied many different sculpture techniques, including working with stone, bronze, wood, and metal. She finds, however, she thrives using clay.
Nava believes it is a forgiving and versatile medium that also has therapeutic benefits. Plus, she says, “It is just plain fun playing in the mud.”
Nava is open to commission orders, including, but not limited to, pet portraits, dish and canister sets, and memorial urns.
